Bienvenue sur mon blogue de diffusion du répertoire traditionnel Québécois
Welcome to my blog on Québécois traditional music
Hello! I saw Genticorum at the Ottawa Folk Fest this weekend (and recently at the Black Sheep also) and was again inspired by your fabulous music! Thank you for keeping it alive pour le Quebec (I
am a new-ish Quebecer in the Gatineau's). I'm learning fiddle (slowly, but surely) and I'm wondering if you can tell me about the fiddle camp that you mentioned in one of the sessions. Do you
teach at the camp? I would be interested to spend a dedicated time to learn fiddle with others (beyond my lessons) but need a suggestion of where to go. I would be grateful for your
response!!!

Hi Jodi. The fiddle camp I was mentionning is Alasdair Fraser's Sierra fiddle camp in california. Don't despair tough, there are many fiddle camps much closer. There is a new one that just started this year in Québec and it is organized by André Brunet (he was the fiddle player of La bottine souriante for 10 years).
